Panelists:

Ashleigh Aliberti: Manager, CB Beauty ESG Initiatives & Thoughtful Choices - Shoppers Drug Mart
I graduated from Chemical Engineering at Western University in 2019, and started the cosmetic science program right after graduation. I wanted to work in the beauty industry and the cosmetic science program seemed to be a great way to learn, get connections and potentially get a role within the industry. I landed a co-op role at Estee Lauder in powder formulation which rolled into a full time position after graduating from Seneca. I worked at Estee Lauder in formulation and project management and decided to make a move into sustainability. I am currently the manager of Corporate Brand Beauty ESG initiatives & Thoughtful Choices at Shoppers Drug Mart where my focus is on managing the sustainability initiatives for the brand Quo Beauty and managing the Thoughtful Choices program at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Ivy Phung: Founder - Artist of Chemistry (AOC)
The Visionary Behind Cutting-Edge Cosmetic Innovation
Ivy Phung, a cosmetic chemist and founder of Artist of Chemistry Beauty Lab, has partnered with numerous indie and emerging beauty brands to craft innovative skincare and beauty products. Each of Ivy's formulas is a unique masterpiece, (an art) meticulously designed to meet the specific needs of brands and the industry. Recognizing a significant gap between manufacturers, formulators, and brands, Ivy embarked on her entrepreneurial journey, leading to the creation of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility. This facility is dedicated to producing high-quality, effective, and sustainable cosmetic products. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, Ivy ensures that every product adheres to the highest industry standards, seamlessly blending innovation with ethical and environmental responsibility.

I then completed an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Regulatory Affairs at Algonquin College while actively working in the personal care industry.
